If you’re like me sometimes you just like wearing all of one color. It makes you look slimmer, taller, and all around amazing, but sometimes its just plain boring. So to spice it sometimes you just need to add a little bit of color and pieces to your outfit.
The Obnoxious Scarf.
I love adding a big scarf to any microchromatic outfit because it makes it interesting. This scarf is loud when it comes to putting it in an outfit because it has such a big pattern. The size is also very big and cozy.
The Army Vest.
Another way to add a little bit of fun to an otherwise dull outfit is throwing on an army jacket. Since this vest is longer than my shirt it makes a different silhouette than this outfit would be normal. It also creates a little bit of an interesting flair.
The Leopard Flats.
You can mix and match the vest with this load leopard flats by using them as a neutral. I talked about in depth about how to incorporate texture in an outfit to make it interesting outfit in my last post. The eye is naturally attracted to different textures, therefore, when it is added to an outfit it becomes appealing to the eye.
What girl doesn’t want an excuse to buy more jewelry? I have so many statement necklaces but I’ve recently become obsessed with this necklace because it is so shinny and grabs color in. A statement necklace can really bring an otherwise plain outfit to a new level because it looks like you really tried to put yourself together even though all you did is put on a random necklace from your vanity. Sometimes just that extra touch makes you look that much more chic.
