Attract Bees With Me

Hello darlings! I don’t know if you know much about the bee problem happening around the world. I thought I should inform you because it is becoming quite an issue. Check out this quick video to find out why having bees is so incredibly important:

Now that you’re aware of what is happening to the bees, maybe you could help to the cause. You now know how vital it is that bees are saved. I mean do you really want to give up apples, blueberries, cherries, broccoli, leafy greens, cucumbers, pumpkins, almonds, avocados, and many more. Yeah, avocados would no longer be a thing… Which means no more guacamole. It also would mean that cows couldn’t get their grains. This means that ice cream, yogurt, cheese, etc would either not exist anymore or price would skyrocket. Cows would also cost more for their meat… Meaning steak, burgers, etc would raise in prices. Cotton wouldn’t exist anymore which means some clothing brands would have to find new materials. Cotton makes up 35% of the world’s total fiber use and is the USA’s leading cash crop, therefore, these products would cost a lot more. Think your blue jeans are expensive now? Think about how expensive they’ll be if the bees disappear.

Obviously, this post isn’t helping the cause that but at least now you understand why it’s so crucial that bees are saved. I’m pretty sure you want blue jeans, cows, and guacamole in your life.

If you want to help… here are 6 easy ways you can help the bees:

  1. Buy local, organic food.
  2. Plant bee-friendly flowers and herbs in your garden such as lilacs, lavender, sage, mint, squash, tomatoes, pumpkins, sunflowers, oregano, rosemary, poppies, black-eyed susan, passion flower vine, and honeysuckle.
  3. Don’t use chemicals and pesticides to treat your lawn or garden.
  4. Buy local, raw honey.
  5. Learn the difference of honeybees and wasps… honeybees die after they sting humans! Wasps do not!
  6. Most importantly let Congress know what you think. Write to Congress, call Congress, anything to get your voice heard.

Enough of me ranting. I’ll switch the topic a little bit and show you my bee’s knees flower dress from American Eagle. This might be my new favorite dress. If you’re interested, it is still on sale.
