Three Jackets You Need This Fall

Do you ever get this warm fuzzy feeling in your stomach when you think about something special? I feel that way when I think about fall. I don’t know if it is the hot chocolate getting to me, but I get this gooey feeling whenever I see a leaf fall or a pumpkin roll over. If you think of a cinnamon being pulled apart that is pretty much how I feel on a daily basis. My family puts up a freaking Halloween tree in the month of October. No joke. I’ll do any fall activity that comes my way. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw I carved a pumpkin this past weekend. No worries, this post contains 0% pumpkins. I figured you’re probably sick of seeing them on your feed.

My favorite part about fall is finally being able to wear more layers and, in this case, more jackets. Some people are shoe junkies, I’m a jacket/layer junkie. A jacket can do so much to any outfit by creating a totally different atmosphere. For example, a jean jacket with similar pants made me look feminine and girly, but when I put on this leather jacket I look edgy and mysterious. Sure, my obnoxious smile takes away from the dare devil image I was ‘trying’ to create, but you get the point.

Jackets are an essential for your fall wardrobe. The three vital jackets I have on repeat are:

Jean Jacket. Style: Sweet, feminine, casual.

Jean jackets are the ultimate staple of the girl next door. The soft hues and lightweight material makes it perfect for day time. Plus, it is by far the easiest thing to throw on a lightweight dress. This is the perfect jacket for those awkward warm fall days. My favorite posts of this jacket are this post and this post.

Suede Jacket. Style: Chic, fashionable, dressy.

Suede jackets are the perfect in-between day and night jackets. The soft material is perfect for adding extra texture to all of your outfits. This jacket is literally perfect for any fall activity. My favorite looks wearing my favorite suede jacket are this post, this post, and this post.

Leather Jacket. Style: Edgy, mysterious, wild.

Lastly, jean jackets are the ultimate show stopper jacket. If you want to make an impression go for this harsh textile and turn some heads. This jacket is perfect for transitioning a summer dress to fall or just spicing up a rather bland outfit like this one. I show how to transition a summer dress to fall in this post.

If you really want to push this list, another jacket you should get is a trench coat. Trench coats are extremely versatile and will always remain a classic. Plus, their neutral hue is perfect for the fall weather. Something more trendy would be a fur jacket that has been all the range last fall and this upcoming fall. Plus, it gives you the extra warmth on the colder, fall days.

Without this jacket, this look would have turned out being just a normal striped shirt paired with some colored pants. By throwing on this leather jacket, it has developed a whole new vibe to the look. A daring vibe I’m not used to but slowly adapting to. Plus, who doesn’t love being edgy for a day or two?
