My obsession for finding out what is in little bags or boxes started years ago. It started with the “What’s in My Bag” posts and morphed into finding out what is in this month’s subscription box. Okay, I’ll admit I’m totally nosey. Hey, I just can’t help if I secretly need to know if someone packs as many chapsticks as I do (at least 5 at all times). Balanced Guru: Organic Balanced Scalp Treatment

I wasn’t always someone who skipped a day of washing. In fact, I used to even wash my hair after the hairdressers again. It wasn’t until I realized how unhealthy it was to wash my hair every day. When I finally started to skip every other day of washing my hair, I thought it was disgusting. I tried everything under the sun to tame my greasy mess. Everything either made my hair feel like uncooked spaghetti or made me smell like an artificial candle factory. That was until I received the August/September’s Love Goodly’s box.

This scalp treatment from Balanced Guru smells like a calming day at the spa with a little bit of extra freshness. The dropper allows you to perfectly place the dry shampoo liquid in problem areas (mine are normally near my temples and direct hairline). You can then scrub it in and you’re good to go. It leaves your hair feeling soft, not crusty and smelling like a yoga-vegan goddess instead of an overpriced, wax candle.

Dr. Rogers: Restore Healing Balm

Behold the magical powers of a strong balm. Doctor Rogers knows what is up when it comes to my dry skin. The cool thing about this balm is that you can literally use it for anything. You can quite literally put this on anywhere. I normally put it on my lips because the corners of my mouth tend to get a little dry. It doesn’t taste like anything and gives you a long-lasting shimmer throughout the day.

Okay, I admit when I first saw this in my box… I may have rolled my eyes. Plastic straws make up little to no pollution in the ocean (46% of pollution in the ocean is fishing equipment). When I saw this, I really thought I would never use it because man, the effort! That is until my iced chai latte addition has peaked this month (I normally only get one if I’m either A. dragging or B. had a really bad day). I packed this in my work bag and I’ve already used it three times! So, to one hater to another… don’t knock it until you try it.
