Everlane Turned Me into a Denim Jacket Fan

If you read the title, no worries, I can hear your screams from where I’m sitting in Connecticut. From chambray shirts to boyfriend jeans, the world loves denim. I’ve always loved a good pair of skinny jeans or a classic chambray shirt but the denim jacket never used to do it for me. That was until I met this jacket from Everlane.

Everlane’s Jacket is Perfect for Spring/Summer Travel

Whether I’m cozied up on a plane or ferry, this jacket has been one of my go tos since last summer. I was able to wear it on my trip to La Jolla and many trips to see Robert in Long Island. It remains a classic staple in my wardrobe since last summer. Plus, it’s the perfect cover up for a short dress because of the length of it.

If You Get Creative, the Jacket Really has SIX Pockets

Let me be honest, I’m not really someone who carries a ton of stuff when I’m running out. For the most part, I carry a water bottle and a simple wristlet that has my cash, cards, license, and chapstick. When I’m feeling fancy (aka most of these blog posts) I carry around a purse. 9/10 times I’m carrying my water bottle and that wristlet. What I really like about this jacket is that I can use the inner pockets as pockets. They have tons of space that can fit my phone and wristlet so that I only have to carry my water bottle. It’s like having a purse as a jacket!

The Denim Jacket Now Comes in Six Different Colors

When I first bought this jacket, it only came in three colors (bone, classic blue wash, and light blue wash). It now comes in three more colors (washed black, black, and vintage dark blue wash) so that you have ample opportunity to get a jacket you love. Personally, I’m partial do the light blue wash because it is perfect for the summer and spring months. I have been debating getting a white pair because I think it would look great with navy blue dresses.

Best Part: Everlane’s Denim Jacket is Sustainably Made

If you remember one of my first sustainability posts back in March, I talk about how dirty the denim industry really is. A single pair of jeans uses 1,500 liters of water and the dyes from factories are often dumped into waterways causing harm to surrounding cities. You can find out more information about Everlane’s incredible factory in this post or on their page here.
