6 Hudson County Places You Need to Eat at ASAP

If you’re traveling to Hudson County to see the the perfect view of Manhattan, you’re going to work up an appetite. Check out these six places to eat in Hoboken and Jersey city that will satisfy all of the cravings you’ve been having.

Gringos Tacos

When I think of my dream salad, it’s this salad. Nothing like pickled onions on a thick salad with a few mixed drinks to celebrate. The coolest part about Gringos Tacos could either be plant decor or it could be that you can actually get a flight of cocktails. Since I don’t drink beer, this is a win-win for me! Location: 12 Coles St, Jersey City.

Modcup Coffee

Right by the Jersey City farmers market (in Riverview Park) is an adorable eco-friendly coffee shop. It’s a tiny little coffee shop filled with relaxing music, comfy seating, and one bold, neon sign. Since I don’t drink coffee, I cannot vouch for their coffee. On the other hand, I can say their chai tea is delicious! Also, a few stores down the road is Busy Bee Organics where you can get amazing sweets and to-go meals. Location: 479 Palisade Ave, Jersey City

Saku

Need a quirky sushi roll that will knock your socks off? Saku has a crazy menu filled with specialty rolls that with make your jaw drop. My favorite two rolls to get are Dude, Where’s My Roll (shrimp tempura, avocado topped with spicy shrimp salad sauce and CBD infused spicy mayo) and Guac is “Extra” (spicy tuna roll mixed with guacamole and on the outside is fresh Pico de Gallo “Chop Chop” salsa). Major tip: their drinks are very strong and unique! One of the drinks I ordered came with cotton candy! Location: 936 Park Ave, Hoboken

The Cliff

If you’re looking for a brunch spot for the girls or to impress your parents, this is your golden ticket. The Cliff is the perfect spot to go to once it gets warmer out. The restaurant has an outdoor area where there are colorful umbrellas blocking the bright sunlight. The indoor seating area also has many plants to freshen up the area. Location: 38 Congress St, Jersey City

Pier 13

Pier 13 is your go to if you’re looking for a quick bite to eat, a few drinks, and a great view of Manhattan. There are usually 2-5 taco turns lined up on the pier where you can get pizza, tacos, ice cream, and more. They also have a great selection of drinks that are half off on Wednesdays. Big tip: make sure that you bring cash! If I remember correctly, most of the food trucks only take cash and so do the bars. Also, these tacos are actually from Gringos Tacos (they have a food truck in Hoboken)! Location: 1301 Sinatra Dr, Hoboken

Bang Cookies

In need of something sweet or missing mom’s homemade cookies? Well, I have the treat for you! Bang cookies are 5 oz cookies that are made with organic and natural ingredients. When you walk into the shop you’ll be overwhelmed the countless options. The dangerous part? They actually deliver until 11pm at night! We’ve actually ordered them after being in the city all day. It is the perfect late night treat! Location: 1183 Summit Ave, Jersey City.
