I Found the Perfect Cotton Sweater and Need To Tell You About It

I knew Everlane would do it again. First it started out with their clean denim and light tanks and then it moved onto their Link-Stitch Crewneck Sweater. If I call correctly, I was definitely influenced by Ashley and Erin who rocked this adorable sweater on their blogs. I saw each of them rocking this adorably, comfy sweater and I knew I needed to check it out for myself.

Background of These Photos

Last Saturday, I meet up with Sabrina from Flaunt Your Fancy in the Seaport District of New York City. We ended up catching a bite to eat at Cobble and Co and watched dogs pass the our giant window seat for hours. If you ever need a place to dog watch go to 1. Washington Square Park’s dog park, 2. Sheep Meadow in Central Park and 3. grab a bite to eat by the window in Cobble and Co. We saw every dog you can think of – labs, golden retrievers, huskies, frenchies (oh, so many frenchies), corgis, weenier dogs, basset hounds… okay, I can go on but I think you get the point. It was ideal for dog watching.

It was my second time being in the Seaport district and I absolutely loved it! They still had fall decorations up such as a pumpkin arch and little corn husks resting on lamp posts. In the center of the district they were gearing up for a tree lighting. I can’t wait to come back and see the area decorated for the most magical time of the year!

Since it was chilly in some area and warm in the sunny spots, this outfit was ideal for the occasion. Also fun tip: if you want to take pictures in the city but don’t want many people in your photo this is the idea location.

I’ve Been Reaching for a Cotton Sweater Constantly

If you look at my Instagram feed, you’ll quickly notice that I’ve been wearing this sweater constantly. Heck, I’m even wearing it in my living room tour post. That is because it is just that comfy. Since it is made out of a heavy cotton it feels warm without being extra hot. My commute requires traveling though New York’s finest wind tunnels, pits of hell (Port Authority), and temperature confused subway carts. With that said, it’s imperative that a sweater like this one is sought out for. And, boy, does it do the trick!

It’s Timeless and Seasonless

My favorite thing about Everlane is that they create timeless pieces that are going to last season after season. This cotton sweater is ideal for winter when it is layered and will be ideal for the summer on cooler nights. I can see myself pairing it with autumn colors now and light colors in the spring (stay tuned, you’ll definitely see this bad boy again).

Ideal for Layered Necklaces and Accessories

The best part about a good basic is that you can spice it up any way you like. Regardless if it is a fun pair of earrings or that headband you’ve only worn once, a good basic is the perfect opportunity to show off those accessories. That is exactly why this outfit allowed me to show off my headband and hat. Also, I love the way it looks with my two favorite necklaces layered on top.
