13 Small Businesses to Buy Dainty Jewelry From

Oh the time has finally come for the busiest shopping weekend of the year. Instead of listing a bunch of the big brands that are having crazy sales, I thought I’d list 13 small businesses to buy dainty jewelry from. This list has a majority of brands I’ve been in love with for a while or have been eyeing for gifts.

As a result of the pandemic, 20% of small businesses in American have closed for good. For this holiday season, consider shopping local and shopping small. There are so many companies that are relying on this week to be a hard hitting week so if you can… shop small.

My Every Day Favorites

A little collection of my every day favorite small businesses. Whether you’re shopping for yourself or a loved one, you need to check out some of these pieces asap.

AURATE New York

One piece of jewelry I never take off is this earrings cuff from AURATE. If you or someone you’re shopping for is a very simple person, check out AURATE. They have the perfect timeless pieces that will last you ages. I’ve been wearing this cuff for a little over a year and a half and it still is in perfect condition. I also have two dainty rings that I love.

Mejuri

I wear this zodiac necklace a few times a week and absolutely love the quality of the charm. It is extremely smooth and sits and the perfect length when pairing with other necklaces. This necklace was actually a gift I gave to myself when I landed a new job!

Gldn

This adorable company has the shiniest, daintiest little pieces. A few years ago I purchased this necklace for Mickey, Courtney, and me. The chains are very delicate so if you end up gifting this type of necklace just make sure you’re careful with the chain! You can see more of the packaging and details in my blog post here.

The Giving Keys

This is the necklace that launched a thousand ships. The Giving Keys was one of the first companies I looked into when moving onto sustainable fashion. You can check out this blog post for more information on the word I chose and a little bit of more detail shots.

Mickey Lynn

These pieces are all handmade by a small team of artists. Each piece is unique with natural materials. You can also get super into it and say that some of these stones radiate certain types of energy. I wear a pink bracelet I found at a local shop in Hoboken every single day. I love that they’re supporting responsible stone sourcing, fair labor, and they even use recycled materials.

Melanie Auld

My newest favorite necklace is from Melanie Auld! This company has a charm for everyone! My parents just gave me this fortune pendant for my birthday and it is extremely eye catching. If you’re looking for a gift that has meaning between you and someone this is definitely a good place to look!

Etsy Finds

Ahh, the small shop hub. When you search the right way you can find so many hidden treasures on Etsy. Here are 5 that I’ve been total fan-girling over.

Kaju Creations

This was actually my first purchase on Etsy! I fell in love with these red earrings with a gold bar (pictured at the end of this blog post). I love the colors used with these earrings and how bold they are. I talk about them a little bit more in this post.

SOHvintage

I found this adorable shop from an influencer one day and was instantly hooked on their dainty jewelry. I’m not sure if it is just me getting older, but I’m craving some of these vintage styles. I particularly love these adorable star, sun, and moon earrings. This. shop is perfect if you’re looking for unique vintage earrings.

BrightStyleByLori

The next three Etsy stores are on my wishlist! Bright Style By Lori has some amazing textured in her polymer clay earrings and pairs them perfectly with the gold metal. Right now I’m dying over the last two earrings! They’re the perfect gift for someone who wears a lot of basic shirts and dresses because it can spice up an outfit!

StudioTwentyNineShop

Oh we need to talk about these triangle earrings! These earrings have a fun mix of the polymer and the vintage style earrings. I love how bold and beautiful they all are.

TheClayEdit

These first two pairs really hit home for me. I love the unique shape and monochromatic style. They’re the perfect pop of fun for any outfit.

Okay my last two are a little different. In representation of the stores in your hometown, here are two of my favorite stores found in my home state and near my college. If you can, make sure you support the little guys in your community.

Bluebird Home Decor

My absolute favorite ring is from Bluebird Home Decor! This is a small shop in Schenectady, NY. Not only do they have some of my favorite handmade, jewelry but they also have home decor pieces that will make your heart sing. If you’re somewhat close to this little shop you need to take a visit asap.

Dwell New Haven

The other ring I wear every day is a spinner ring from Dwell! This little shop is located in New Haven, Connecticut and has some of the best gems. I highly recommend you visit this and get a donut from Donut Crazy right after.
